Why is this course important? The year 2020, for everyone around the world, has cemented itself as one of the most challenging years in many of our lifetimes. In just over a half a year, we have faced and endured multiple challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic that has spurred a global economic crisis. As societies reopen, it is becoming more and more apparent that each and every country’s economy is not what it was before the lockdowns were enforced. One of the key steps needed to foster a safe and successful economic recovery is expanded access to the digital skills needed to fill new jobs, and to afford those who have lost their jobs access to further career opportunities.
Microsoft identified 10 jobs that are in-demand in today’s economy and are well positioned to continue to grow in the future. These 10 jobs were identified as having the greatest number of job openings, have had steady growth over the past four years, pay a livable wage, and require skills that can be learned online. Sales Representative is one of jobs that made the list.
